Marginated Tortoises are herbivorous creatures that require low protein levels to thrive, making them a species for a more advanced keeper. The most unique feature of the Marginated Tortoise is its oblong-shaped carapace that isn’t divided, making them a very distinct species. An adult Marginated Tortoise’s carapace is almost completely black with yellow highlights. They also have scales on their legs which help identify them from other tortoises.
